14 x 10 CNC Cylindrical, Internal and External Grinder
A
Compact, Precision Grinding System
Responding to the call for a smaller, more affordable
precision internal and external grinder, Parker Majestic developed
the 14" x 10" CNC Cylindrical Grinder. Engineered
for accuracy, durability, reliability and repeatability, the
14 x 10 is compact and yet capable of handling demanding production
machining requirements.
Durable
Systems A Parker Majestic Tradition
For over 73 years, Parker Majestic grinders have been designed
and built to withstand years of operation in job shop environments
worldwide. Its a legacy that continues to this day.
For the utmost in stability, all major system components of
the 14 x 10 are manufactured from high-quality cast iron.
The 14 x 10s hand-scraped ways provide maximum bearing
area, good oil flow, and deliver accurate and reliable service
years after other grinders are worn out.
Accurate Finishing of the Finest Details
When it comes to precision, the 14 x 10 rises to the challenge.
Designed for exceptional accuracy, the 14 x 10s grinding
wheel can be adjusted in increments as small as .000040",
a precision that few can match. Similarly, the workhead spindle
also attains accuracies of less than .000040" T.I.R.
to ensure that your parts have an ultra-fine finish.
Conversational
User-Friendly Operation
As the only truly precise grinder of its size on the market
today, we have striven to ensure that the 14 x 10 enhances
productivity with its CNC operation and ease-of-use.
The
14 x 10s control panel is protected against the harsh
industrial environment, offers broad application flexibility
and provides complete operator friendliness. Part size, coolant
delivery, multiple diameters, multiple shoulders, table stroke,
infeed amount, dwell time and spark-out can all be rapidly
accessed and adjusted.
With
its interactive conversational control, the 14 x 10 can be
operated with minimal effort. In fact, the 14 x 10 reduces
labor requirements so drastically that one operator can run
two or three machines. With capabilities like this, the Parker
Majestic 14 x 10 is certain to enhance your productivity and
improve your bottom line.
Repeatability: Built in From the Start
Each and every part of the 14 x 10 works together to provide
the high performance necessary to ensure close tolerances
and superior finish, cycle after cycle.
Workheads and Spindles
As a manufacturer of precision spindles, Parker Majestic is
known throughout the industry for our ability to produce workheads
that consistently deliver accurate part holding. In fact,
beyond manufacturing workheads for our own line of machines,
we design and build workheads for other industry OEMs as well.
So, whether youre chucking large solid carbide dies
or small delicate parts, you know that you can count on Parker
Majestics heads for less than .000040" (.001 mm)
T.I.R. Parker Majestics workheads also allow for a variety
of workholding techniques. A dead center drive is provided
for external grinding between centers, and chucks or faceplates
can be mounted for part chucking. Additionally, a 5C collet
taper is ground into the shaft for the convenience of collet
chucking.
- Automatic lubrication system Distributes oil evenly and assures lubrication in critical areas.
- Built-in workpiece coolant system Provides better roundness, straightness and part finish
- Dead center drive system for external grinding Allows dead center grinding
- Sturdy cast iron construction Provides smooth operation, superior part finish and exceptional roundness characteristics
- Heavy-duty workhead uses ABEC 7 angular contact oil bearings Offers consistent size control and ensures long system life
- Spindles use angular contact ball bearings with labyrinth seals Accurate and long life
- Integrated work head sine bar Allows operator to quickly set angles
- Hand scraped Teflon/Turcite coated slideways Ensures maximum bearing support, optimal flatness, minimal maintenance and minimal stick/slip
- Infinitely variable workhead, table and crossfeed speed controls Provides convenient command of part rotational and table speed for outstanding finish control
