Canned Programs
Area Cycle Grinding a flat area with controlled stock removal with or without wheel dressing compensation.
Plunge Cycle A steady plunge downward of the grinding wheel with the cross feed in a locked position while the table is stroking (often used for a slicing or cutoff operation).
Pitch Grind Cycle This slot-grinding program can be set up to grind one or more slots of a precision width with accurate positioning from slot to slot.
Form or Angle Cycle This program is used primarily when grinding carbide or ceramic with a diamond wheel with a known radius. After the radius or angle is defined in the controller, the machine "steps" in the desired form. This program mimics a manual grinder by moving one axis at a time.
Master Cycle This program is used to link one or more of the above programs to generate a complete or more complete part in one set up.
