Parker Majestic specializes in precision box type spindles and all types of custom designed spindle applications. Over 73 years of design experience gives us the design base and background to provide you with the optimal spindle solution. Parker Majestic’s manufacturing and assembly facilities are geared toward precision spindle manufacture and include the latest in CNC turning and grinding equipment, a temperature controlled assembly and inspection area and state-of-the-art coordinate measuring machines.

Speed
Tapered roller bearings, angular contact ball bearings and tapered bore roller bearings are just a few of the different types of bearing constructions used to optimize our spindles for specific applications. In all cases bearing quality is chosen to match the application requirements. Typically, class 0, ABEC-7 and ABEC-9 quality bearings are used. The speed of a bearing can be measured in "DN" value: the bearing bore in mm x the application RPM. Maximum speeds of over 800,000 DN are obtained using these high quality angular contact ball bearing constructions.

Balance
All Parker Majestic spindles are balanced to laboratory grade precision. Other rotating components such as pulleys and tool adapters are independently balanced so that excellent operation continues after installation of replacement parts. All spindles are checked for vibration with the latest measuring equipment. Full inspection reports are provided with each unit shipped.

Capacity
Care is taken in all spindle designs to see that the proper bearings and shaft sizes are chosen for the speed and load conditions for your application. Only the highest quality steels and cast iron are used. With few exceptions all precision spindle shafts are hardened on all surfaces (not just the spindle face). Threads are ground! This insures the maximum rigidity and maintainability for your spindle installations. Additionally all bearing spacers are rotary surface ground for superior flatness and parallelism (Parker Majestic supplies rotary surface grinders for bearing manufacturers’ production process.)

Parker Majestic has designed thousands of special application spindles: high dimensionally accurate multiple spindle clusters, high HP motorized spindles, high speed boring and grinding spindles, high HP slow speed worm drive spindles, planetary milling and grinding spindles, high temperature environment spindles, quill adjustable spindles and many more.

Spindle Lubrication
High speed spindles require special bearing lubrication methods. Parker Majestic’s patented Micro-injection Lubricator fulfills these needs. This state-of-the-art air/oil lubrication system injects precise amounts of oil at controlled intervals for optimal bearing life and minimum heat generation. In addition the high air pressures used provide maximum protection against contamination of the spindle.
